Thankful Thurday

I hope that you are all having a wonderful Thursday! Mine is getting better!!!

I have not been in the right mind set lately. I don't know why, but I have been very irritable, cranky, and tired. It gets old, fast! And I am sure that if I am noticing my attitude and am tired of it, the people around me have also noticed and are probably REALLY tired of it.

This morning, I woke up and did not want to get out of bed. Then I remembered somthing that my husband had told me that they talked about at one men's breakfast at church...in the mornings it is much better to get out of bed with a good attitude and say "Good Morning God!" as oppossed to "Uuugh, good God it's morning."

AH-HA MOMENT

Suddenly it did not seem so strange to me that I have been in such a foul mood. My priorites have not been what they should.

So today I am thankful for the gentle nudges that the Lord gives, when I need them most. I am thankful that, especially when I am not who He wants me to be, He loves me enough to guide me back to the right path.

If you would like to link up with Thankful Thursday, it is being hosted by Lynn this month at Spiritually Unequal Marriage. If you would like to just stop by and see her post and a list of others, you are welcome to do that too!

Lord,
I thank you, not only today Lord but every day, for being such a loving Father. There is nothing that can ever seperate us from Your love, and that is something that I will be eternally greatful for. Lord I ask that you would be with me, mold me Lord so that I am more like you and less like me. I thank you for the forgiveness that you give so freely Lord. Thank you for all that you are. Please watch over all of my sisters and brothers and be with each of them in whatever way they are needing you right now Lord.
In the precious name of Jesus I pray,
Amen

Good Friday

Today is representative of the day that Jesus Christ was crucified. It begins the three day count until the time when Jesus rose from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of God. I hope that all of you have a great Easter, as there is so much to celebrate...

JESUS LIVES!!!

57 And those who had laid hold of Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. 58 But Peter followed Him at a distance to the high priest’s courtyard. And he went in and sat with the servants to see the end.
59 Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, 60 but found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward 61 and said, “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.’”
62 And the high priest arose and said to Him, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?” 63 But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!”
64 Jesus said to him, “It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65 Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy! 66 What do you think?”
They answered and said, “He is deserving of death.”
(Matthew 26:57-66, New King James Version)

I wish you all a glorious Easter with your families and pray that we would all keep in mind the sacrifice that was made on our behalf...not just on this Easter weekend but all year.

Oh, I forgot to tell you!

This last week has been Spring Break for WNC, so I have had no classes. Wednesday, of last week, at the end of Chemistry class we were given our graded scantrons back from the first test.
The reason that we had to wait so long was that the professor was giving us the opportunity to earn extra credit toward the exam scores each class period until Wednesday. The extra credit raised the average grade from the first exam (from all of his classes) from a 50-something to a 77% (there were 30 extra-credit points available). Good news, right?
It turns out that the wait was worth it, I passed the test -- even before the extra credit was added in!!
**Insert Happy Dance Here**

Just thought I would share that with you all since I have been sharing my angst about it with you up until this point.

But guess what...in three more weeks, it is time for the next exam.......
**Happy Dance Over**

Thanks for taking this journey with me! ;)

A Penny For Your Thoughts...

I have a Philosophy paper due soon, very soon.

I am going to put my first paragraph - basic summary and thesis - below and would love any input that you care to give! Thanks in advance!!

People have always wondered where they came from and how the world came to be. Starting as far back as there are records of, people have always attributed their own existence and that of the world around them to some form of god, or even many gods. In Philosophy, there are many arguments for the existence of a benevolent, omniscient God. Some of the arguments claim that God’s characteristics are infinite and beyond human comprehension, and others bestow upon God human-like characteristics such as goodness, loving, merciful, and more. When taken individually, the arguments give great reason for believing that God created the world, and people. When looked at all together, not only is there overwhelming reason to believe that God does exist and that He created us, but also that He is benevolent, loving, omnipotent, and omniscient.

Thankful Thursday

I have so much to be thankful for today, like every day.

It seems like change is something that happens all the time. Sometimes it happens to us, sometimes it happens through us, sometimes it happens in spite of us...I once heard that the only constant thing in life is change. I don't believe that for a second.

God is constant, He never changes! I am so thankful that I get to serve a Lord like that!!!

But even the change, I am thankful for. I know that we all have our own priorities in life and as the world around us changes we have to "adapt" or change so that our priorities will not be compromised. I am thankful that we have the freedoms in this great country to be able to make our own choices, move about freely, worship freely, and to express ourselves.

I am thankful for all the people I have in my life who encourage me to be the best that I can be - at whatever it may be. I am thankful for my family - near and far - and wish that there was not so much distance between us.

I am thankful for a great church with an amazing kids' program! And for being blessed with kids who are eager to learn and absorb God's truths!

I have so much more to be thankful for, but the dryer just beeped! :) Hey, I am even thankful for folding clothes in my own house, as opposed to the laundry rooms and laundry mats we used before having washer and dryer hook ups!!!

I hope that you all have a ton of things to be thankful for and that you would take a few minutes to reflect upon them, and give thanks! Have a blessed day!

Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies **Review & Giveaway**

I had never really given much thought specifically to the fiber in my children's diets. I always paid much more attention to having balanced meals and relatively healthy snacks.

When I was first approached about reviewing the Pedi-Lax Fiber Gummies, I became interested in what the recommendations for fiber intake in children was. I was incredibly surprised when I found out how much fiber kids need too. I had heard something about the child's age plus five grams was what was recommended, that would be 8 grams of fiber per day for Emily since she is 3 years old. According to the American Heart Association's chart, children aged 1-3 need 19 grams of fiber daily, and as with adults for every 1000 calories consumed, there should be at least 14 grams of fiber consumed.
For a list of high-fiber foods with serving sizes and fiber content, check out this list from the Mayo Clinic

My children were super excited when they saw the Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies we were sent for Emily to try out. They are cute, colorful, appealing little penguins!

They are sugar-free and have no calories, the Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies are naturally fruit flavored and approved by dentists. They are approved for children ages 2-11.

I found it incredibly easy to get Emily to eat her fiber gummies, not so easy to convince her that she could not eat a handful! :)
The fiber supplement has helped ensure that she gets the daily reccomended fiber intake. I find the Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies to be a great addition to her diet, because although she does eat healthy and gets a good amount of fiber, there are days that she is more picky. With these fiber supplements I know that she is consistently healthy amounts of fiber daily.
There is a coupon for $1.00 off Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies (and chewable fiber supplements as well) on their website!
Buy It: Pedia-Lax Fiber-Gummies are widely available, I have seen them at Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS, and I am sure they are at many other stores as well.

I am having a baby kicking baby!

Last night, I was holding Natalie and rocking her to sleep. All of a sudden there was...something. It was the baby kicking and it was hard.
Ok, well it couldn't have been THAT hard sinse it's only 5 months "old" but it was hard enough to make me gasp - probably more out of surprise than anything else.
But I had to laugh a little. Already, with the baby not even born, I have a baby-kicking-baby!
So, maybe it is a boy...
Or, maybe it's not...

I guess I will have to get really good at waiting to find things out, and not just my Chemistry grade! LOL
